Reading Highlights from the Blogging World

There are SO many great blogs out there that I wish I had more time to read them! I like when other bloggers share some of their favorite reads of the week because it often tips me off to a great blog I've never seen before, or an interesting tidbit I might have otherwise missed! Here are some of the highlights from my blog reading this week.... check them out!

Simple Mom talks about some Birthday Alternatives: Less Stuff, More Fun... love this! I think its great to focus on more than just the presents, and teach our little ones that 'stuff' isn't everything! The Story of Stuff: How Our Problem with Overconsumption Is Trashing the Planet, Our Communities and Our Health--and What to Do About It looks to be a great read... I'll be looking to check it out in March!

And Frugal Dad yet again has a post that makes me laugh and also think a bit Why Root Canal Helps You Suceed Financially. Its actually a guest post by Neal Frankle of Wealth Pilgrim while Frugal Dad takes some time off after the passing of his mother last weekend (our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time FD). Neal compares a dental emergency to navigating a financial challenge.... well right on Neal!

Tons and tons more great reads out there this week... what popped out at you?

Lose-A-Palooza

You know I am a big fan of the Weight Watchers program, having lost 30 pounds using some of the tips of this program this year... and you know I like to step up for some good causes as well. Make sure you check out this year's Lose for Good campaign and take a moment TODAY to spread the word!

Lose-A-Palooza is a one-day online social networking event taking place on September 15, 2009 to help raise awareness for the Lose For Good™ campaign!
For every accepted mention or acknowledgment of “Lose For Good” made on September 15 via blogs, Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, Weight Watchers will make an additional donation - up to $25,00 - for just one day of social media activity. This donation is on top of the $1 million Weight Watchers is hoping to donate to Share Our Strength and Action Against Hunger as part of the 2009 Lose For Good campaign!
